While I was away in America lots of new fabric collections arrived in store - Raspberry Parlour by Sue Daley was just one of these. This gorgeous quilt using the full range will be hanging in the store once the binding is stitch on. Kits will be available soon.
These arrived in this week, great new flannels from Buggy Barn, they are fabulous, great quality and gorgeous colours. I was so excited when i unpacked them - as I will be at Buggy Barn in Washington State - USA in a few days for there week of guest tutors and their quilt airing. The printed panels look like you have spent ages hand appliqueing them to the background. These will all be on my website soon priced at $20 per metre, I am sure they wont last long with the response so far from all those who have seen them. I have started a small quilt using the panel as the centre - this photo is just the start - stayed tuned to see how it comes together.
Wow what an amazing weekend we just had here in Nundle - Bonnie Sullivan from Salem, Oregan USA, was our guest tutor and what a wonderful time everyone had. Lots of fun was had by us all, with 2 gorgeous wool projects for the ladies to work on, that Bonnie designed especially for this weekend. Saturday night I hosted Chrissy dinner and of course we had to have Santa - Jerry nearly fitted into Lea's coat as his Santa's outfit, thanks Santa for all the great gifts your shared with us all. Everyone managed to finish the first project which was a beautiful wool felt Chatelaine - great group of ladies (tanya missing) The second project which was a scarf was well under way, I look forward to seeing them finished. Thank you to all who made the weekend so special, I truly am blessed to be associated with so many amazing ladies. Looking forward to having Bonnie and Jerry visit us again one day here in Nundle Kerry
You can always tell when I have been busy with lots of retreats, I just don't find time to post, I have lots of photos to share with you all of some of the projects that have been made in store over the past couple of weeks. I will try and share some over the next few days. Half of last weekends retreat group all decided to make large block Drunken Path Quilts. They all looked great and were all made in totally different fabrics. This quilt has been very popular in retreats this year, its much easier to sew then it looks.
Just thought I would share with you all this stunning quilt top Judy has completed. It started out as a paper bag quilt, Judy selected the block and about 10 of us made her blocks using her Cheddar fabric plus scraps of our own. Judy then made many more blocks and this is the result. JUST STUNNING, well done Judy.
Just thought I would share with you all a few quilts that were made over the weekend in my latest retreat - Janelle, Erica and Barbara all choose to make a Drunken's Path quilt with finished 6" blocks, they were all looking terrific.
Just cutting kits using the gorgeous range by Jennifer Chiaverini - author of the Elm Creek Quilt books. Cost of kit is $168 which includes all fabrics for the quilt top. They can be ordered online HERE - the fabrics are also available and will be online very soon
